CEE is proud to offer both athletics and extra-curricular activities. We see both of these as an extension of our school and therefore work to create new and exciting opportunities to meet the ever changing needs of our students.

CEE’S Spectacular Extra Curricular Clubs at a glance!

Wixie Club

Learn to use Wixie, an inspiring online tool for purposeful technology integration.  Students will create multimedia presentations using their writing, their art, and their voices.  They’ll learn to use graphics, text, transitions, sounds, and voice recordings.  They’ll choose projects tied to what they’ve learned in class and what they’ve learned on their own – science inquiry, literature response, social studies topics, art, and more!  Wixie club will be led by our awesome Kindergarten teachers Mrs. Kinneman and Ms. Letofsky.  

Grades K – 5th, Tuesdays 3:45 – 4:45 (limited to 10 students)

Cooking Club

Calling for young chefs!!!! Discover new science, math, reading, health and social skills through hands on cooking experiences! While learning food preparation skills, kitchen safety, etiquette, table setting, and healthy menu planning they’ll be having fun!!! Oh, and of course eating! Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Spoonhunter will be your culinary experts!

Grades K-5th. Thursdays from 3:45 – 4:45

 LEGO/Robotics Club

Come learn how to code using LEGO Robotics!  Coding is the new language that helps you tell your computer what to do.  After learning the basics of coding, we will build our own robots and in order for them to operate, we will code them to do various tasks.  Scientists are exploring faraway places like Mars with robots; we will learn how to make our robots move through a path, turn around, pick up objects, and more!  Mrs. Wolfgramm will be leading this high tech club this spring!

Show Choir

Love to sing?? Join our quality music instruction program with artistic excellence in choral performance. Mr. Cruz shares his passion for singing with his students as they prepare for multiple performances throughout the year!!

Pom N’ Cheer Spirit Squad

GO Eagles! Want to cheer for CEE at Town Meetings and other special school events?? Then let’s go!!! Gather your spirit and energy! On the Cheer Squads students learn  dance, tumbling, and stunting skills as well as team building and self confidence!  Join Miss Medina & Ms. Kauffman this spring on their fabulously fun squad!

Drama Club

Drama is back for another exciting year with our talented and exceptional director, Mrs. Youkers. Drama students gain valuable knowledge of acting and theater as well as set design and costuming. Students will audition in October for our production in March.

Yoga Club

The heart of any yoga practice is the performance of yoga positions (called asanas), each of which has specific physical and mental benefits. Students will be introduced to basic poses and balances in this class taught by Mrs. Smolenski this spring.

Basketball at CEE!!  Students will learn proper basketball fundamentals all the while expanding their skills to emerge as a player reaching their fullest potential. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that each athlete develops their basketball skills in an environment that is: Stable, Consistent, Intense, Dynamic, Enthusiastic, and fun!  Coach Nelson and Coach Bomberry have teamed up to coach the Eagles!

Grades 3rd-8th, Wednesdays 3:30 – 4:30

Sports Skills Club

Junior sports enthusiasts – – Pick your sport!!! Coach Kelton will be offering his expertise in teaching the fundamental skills in soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis, and volleyball!!! Come PLAY while gaining strength, agility, flexibility, eye-hand coordination and confidence!! CEE’S gym will transform into a sports Mecca!

Grades K-3rd, Fridays 3:45 – 4:30 (Limited enrollment)

Golf Academy Club

Gary Wolf is sharing his valuable knowledge as a pro golfer and instructor in the valley for over 10 years. Gary’s philosophy of keeping things simple, teaching great fundamentals and having fun has produced over 100 wins for his junior golfers. His students have received scholarships to Colorado State, New Mexico State and Air Force Academy, as well as the local community colleges. Gary’s junior golfers have combined for over 100 Wins in the last 10 years. The classes will consist of: Full Swing Instruction with Video, Pitching, Chipping, and Putting, where the instruction is fit for each student’s individual level. And of course, do not forget the FUN!!!! When all the classes are complete, the parents will receive a video of their child’s first and last full swing video lesson. Golfers may bring their own clubs or they will be provided. $180.00 for 15 sessions. Starting September 9 – December 16 Maximum number of students is 18.
*Classes are held at Dobson Ranch Golf Course – 2155 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202. The CEE school bus will be providing transportation to and from the golf course.

Ambassadors for Change (AFC)

Provides ongoing opportunities for students to participate in philanthropic projects in our local, state, nationwide, and global communities.  AFC often organizes and implements and leads our school in school wide philanthropic initiatives.

Grades K – 8th, Wednesdays 7:45am – 8:20am (APPLICATION required)

Learn to play the guitar with Mr. Haynes.  This club is an introduction to music through the guitar.  Basic guitar fundamentals, chords, and songs.  Exposure to both electric and acoustic guitars. 

Grades 4th-6th, Thursdays from 3:45 – 4:45

Chess Club

Join highly qualified instructors from Chess Emporium as they help students master the art of the game. Students also have opportunities to compete in local chess tournaments.

Story Book Art Club

In story art we will be reading a collection of exciting stories and bringing them to life through a variety of art and craft projects. Each week participants will read a picture book and then create an art project taking elements, ideas and inspiration from the book. *Not offered this spring, but will be back again!
